Ableton Forum

Every time i enable the record button on a track it switches the view to that track. I simply want to always have the stereo master out always in view.
I can't believe how much time I have spent on this.

im playing the soft instruments and triggering clips at the same time. Not the same soft instrument through out.
No I am not recording them

Does this mean I have to remove the stop buttons on every slot in every chanel strip I have record enabled so they dont record?

I play a godin midi guitar and run clips in ableton that have different tempos and that loop.... (very important part of problem)

If you are windows Xp savy here is one hell of a problem

Friend installed ableton 7 and set the plug in folder to scan
PROGRAM FILES FOLDER!
So now it scans ALL .dll files for whole system and of course crashes.
Uninstall doesn't work cause ableton is still scanning Program files folder upon ...

I run Live with clips and synth plugins while I play guitar on stage.
I use a bomes midi translator and a footcontroller, ground control pro, to change the record enable to tracks I have different plugins on. This is great cause I can have as many midi tracks open as I want.

the problem really is when I want to do this looping live.
there has to be a way to have the track that I am bussing to be silent untill I trigger the playback on that track.
