Perhaps you could get another LX2 if you need more tracks. Or maybe something like this http://www.genovation.com/682.htm ?

Thanks posssu. Unfortunately using this workaround means I'd have to run multi instances of ERA2 instead of just a single instance :(

Unless I'm missing something, the way the Abe's have this implemented just doesn't make sense to me. I've seen other threads containing workarounds involving Bidule ...

Agreed. It's odd why this happens and I hope it gets fixed soon. It seems like a fundamental bug.

I've got one of these ergonomic touchpads... http://www.ergonomictouchpad.com/ergono ... QgodzXo1mQ

Just double-tap the pad then move your finger up/down to adjust the value!

Topic: live 6: dropouts with 10% cpu using dual core????

For months I've been going crazy over this issue and fingers crossed I've finally cracked it, at least on my PC!

Symptoms were that every minute or so my RME Digi96 would freeze for a split second and Live's CPU usage would spike to some rediculous value e.g. 2000%. So I was forced to use my crappy ...

Hi Nathan,

I can't seem to find midi_* functions you mention... please could you point me in the right direction?

For complete integration I'd need to be able to read all midi info from a clip as soon as the user maniuplates a clip in Live. This is so the monome always displays what is shown on ...

Well I've managed to telnet in and change midi clip attributes. Now if I could only get at the midi notes themselves, say Notes-->Note classes with an associated listener, I'd be able to hook it up to a Monome controller and have a hands-on step sequencer completly integrated with live! I think this ...

I had a similar problem with a RME digi 96 at 11ms latency -- sporadic cpu spikes causing audio drop-outs. When I switched to my internal Realtek AC97 via ASIO4ALL I haven't had a single dropout at 3ms latency.

I use the pci latency tool (google it) to give the soundcard max priority, and I also ...

May I suggest to Ableton to implement some kind of user-definable mapping between a vst's plethora of parameters (e.g. 10,000) and a more manageable "working set" of, say 128 (or a user-definable limit per plugin). This would allow Mackie Control to control this working set whilst giving max ...

C4!Live v1.0.0 preview: using a Mackie C4 for Live control

Hi all!

I thought I'd post a preview of my upcoming application C4!Live which lets a Mackie C4 control Ableton Live 5. Here's some pics...

I believe you could use Kensington MouseWorks to program each mouse button to simulate a keypress then use ctrl-K in Live.
