Hey gang,
Had a baby so I haven't been in the home studio for almost a year and I apparently have forgotten everything I had figured out with this program. So before I scream and tear the software off my hard drive;

Newbie question: Warpings effect on Tempo
Greetings,
I noticed that when I add warp markers it alters the BPM of the clip.
If I want the clip to play at 160 BPM but the warping has adjusted it 158.5 do I just change the Clip tempo back to 160 to correct?
This whole clip synchronization concept is difficult to get a firm grasp of. I am so ...

Help with creating loops correctly
Greetings,
I have recorded an audio track from my drum machine of drums and bass.
I then go in and try to isolate the 4 bar progression and create a loop in Live.
I move the start of the clip and the start of he loop to the beginning of the section, which is a bar or two from the beginning of the ...

DUDE thanks!
It worked awesome.
I routed the IN as Guitar --> DR-880 --> track11/track12 (Group 1/2 (Bus?)) --> Toneport --> Laptop
I routed the OUT as Laptop --> Toneport (analog outs L/R) --> Track 8/9 (Group 3/4 (Bus?))
Now everything is working beautiful, my line levels don't seem to require any or much ...

Well I figured it out and you were basically right. I removed the Analog outputs from the Toneport that were routed back to my mixer, which is what was causing the record loop issue. I moved my headphones to the headphone jack on the Toneport instead of the mixer. But now, I am getting a little tiny ...

Repost of previous bleeding issue
Greetings,
Well my life is settling down and I am getting in a groove being a father. Which means I have some additional time to devote back to music, yeah!
So I re-approached my issue with Ableton 6 and alas, I ran into the same problem.
Current hardware config:

MIDI out question
So I hooked up my Roland Xp-80 to a MIDI/USB converter and successfully recorded a track of midi from the keyboard. But when I play it back;
1) The MIDI out indicator in the upper right doesn't blink during play back.
2) The keyboard doesn't play even though it is set to receive (I think)
3) The ...

Newbie - So I recorded my first track...
..and then edited out a loop of that track, using both start and end loop markers.
Now how do I save just that looped section as a clip?
The manual is kind of vague in this area, eludes to the fact you can just "drag" the clip from Arrangement view to Session view to automatically create a clip ...
